Windows UAC Support

What is Windows UAC?

User Account Control (UAC) is a technology and security infrastructure in Microsoft Windows. It aims to improve the security of Microsoft Windows by limiting application software to standard user privileges until an administrator authorizes an increase or elevation.

If UAC is turned on by default, ShowMyPC application might temporarily get disconnected if you run a command that shows UAC dialog on the remote PC. You will have to ask a remote user to proceed and click on the UAC confirmation dialog.
See how to configure UAC

Premium version: Windows UAC support

ShowMyPC works with UAC, and does not change or disable it and you will see all the UAC prompts as if you were sitting in front of your computer.

In rare cases, on a remote PC with Guest only permission ShowMyPC may switch to a situation where UAC prompts may not be visible and viewers may disconnect temporarily, until remote users click on the UAC prompt.

Reboot or Reconnect option helps you reboot the remote PC and connect back using the same password.

Home or Office Service version: Windows UAC support

ShowMyPC works with UAC, and does not change or disable it and you will see all the UAC prompts as if you were sitting in front of your computer.
While installing Access Home or Office Service, UAC should be turned On.

Free version: Windows UAC support
